Chinoiserie Christmas Ornaments

There is nothing more beautiful than blue and white ornaments on a Christmas tree. I have been making chinoiserie craft for the last 2 years and I love how classy and unique they are. There are so many crafts you can make with the chinoiserie design.

Three styles of Chinoiserie Christmas ornaments:How To Decoupage Chinoiserie Christmas Ornaments

Supplies Needed For Chinoiserie Ornaments:

  • Chinoiserie printable ( I used three different kinds)
  • Cardboard ornaments ( I found these at Hobby Lobby)
  • Decoupage glue (I have used many glues and to me Aleene’s decoupage glue is the best.
  • Scissors (Make sure the scissors are sharp for cutting around shapes.)

Instructions:

Here is a printable you can print out. Draw the shape of the ornaments by tracing the shape of the ornaments onto the printable. These ornament shapes are like crystals. There are 6 crystal shapes on each ornament. Place one of the shapes flat and with a pencil, you can outline the shape. Use that for your pattern.

Cut out the shape which looks like a petal. It should match up to the shape on the ornament. With a pencil, you can outline the rest of the petals which is 5 more needed to cover the ornament. Cut all the petals first before you glue them. I cut 6 petals total which matches up the entire ornament.

Apply a good amount of glue to the petals. Paste quickly on the ornament form. Continue pasting it all over the ornament until it’s completely covered. I have three kinds of printables to make three ornaments.

Let the ornaments dry for a good hour before you have them on the tree.

I am so thrilled with the way the Chinoiserie came out.
