I loved making ornaments with a beach vibe. Something about Christmas by the beach.

When I was in Capri Italy I was so inspired by the Christmas ornaments of painted lemons on them. The next time you want to make a ornaments try making these you will love them.

Here is another post that that can teach you How To Decoupage Seashell Christmas Ornaments. These ornaments are a different because I am using seashells.

For today tutorial I am using oyster shells and lemon napkins. I love lemons. These remind me of Capri Italy.

What is Decoupaging

Decoupage is an art form of gluing paper cutouts onto different surfaces. You can use napkins or even fabric. You can even decoupage jewelry.

How To decoupage Oyster shell Christmas Ornaments

  1. Drill a hole in your Oyster shell. (Here is a video)

2. Clean the oyster shell after you drill hole.

3. Cut out the lemon from napkin. Apply the modpdge on the oyster and place the lemon cut out on it. Gently pat until all bubbles are gone.

Apply another coat of Modpodge.

Let dry and add a piece of ribbon through hole and hang on tree.

What kind of Oysters shapes TO use

There are many types of oysters shapes. The best kinds is flat and medium size.

Each oyster shell are always unique. I advice to gather the shapes you like and go with that for your tree.
