Chocolate Leaves Recipe

Chocolate leaves recipe are a delicious treat that is perfect to eat any time of the day. You can use them for decorating cakes and cookies as well.

I wanted to make something unique with chocolate for the holidays so I found some cute ideas with leaves. Besides eating them as a candy treat, you can add these as decoration on a cupcakes or cake.

Here is another recipe with chocolate. My fluffy chocolate chip cookies. This cookie recipe are unique because you place the dough to the refrigerator.

What Kind of leaves Do you use

There are many leaves you can use to make these treat. Make sure you use a non toxic leaves such as basil, lemon, or lime. I used lime leaves that I had.

Supplies For Chocolate Leaves

  • Non toxic leaves such as basil, lime and lemon leaves. (You can use a leaf mold if you don’t want to use leaves. I found mine on Amazon.
  • Parchmont paper
  • Artist brush

Steps To Make Chocolate Leaves

  1. Melt the chocolate

  1. Paint the leaf with an artist brush dipping the brush into chocolate.

Put the leaves on a cookie sheet in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.

Carefully peel the leaves from the chocolate starting from the top of the leaf. If you don’t want to use leaves you can use a leaf mold. Fill the mold with chocolate. Put in the refrigerators for about 20 minutes too. It should pop out of the mold easily.

Where to buy the leaves

I used the leaves from my lime tree for this recipe. You can find the basil leaf or any herb leaf from the garden store. Make sure you wash the leaves before using.

Chocolate Leaves Recipe
Prep Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 15 Lemon leaves or basil
  • 2 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips
  • Parchmont paper
  • Artist brush
  • Cookie sheet

Instructions

  1. Put the chocolate chips in a pot over stove and melt completely.
  2. Wash non toxic leaves such as lemon or basil.
  3. With artisit brush paint leaves two coats thick.
  4. Place leaves on parchmont paper.
  5. Put in Refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  6. Carefully peel chocolate off the leaf.

Notes

Optional: If you don't like the leaves you can use a leaf mold.
