One of my favorite scents of all time is lavender. It amazing sweet smell has wonderful way to boost the mind. One of the best ways to keep this lovely aroma lingering throughout the house is with candles. Candles can be expensive and that why I make my own.

Lavender is a herb that is commonly used for medicinal and therapeutic benefits. It can be used to help those with insomnia and depression. A few drops of lavender oil on your pillow before eoyu go to sleep may help you relax and fall asleep. Lighting the a lavender candle can clear the mood if you are suffering from depression.

Supplies For DiY Lavender Candles
- Tins (empty tins for the candle)
- Candle kit (This kit has 5 lbs soy candle wax – 100 6-Inch pre-waxed candle wicks – 2 metal centering devices.)
How To Make Diy LAvender Candles
- Melt 1/2 cup wax beads into the pot.
Prepare the tins with the wick and wick holder. Once that is form in the center of the tin. Pour the melted wax into the tin. Add 20 drops of lavender oil into the wax. Let cool and harden for a few hours.
Once it harden you will need to cut the wick a a inch above the wax.
You can store these with the tops to preserve the lavender and give as gifts. Take top off to lit them.
What are the best Containers for candle making
There are many types of containers you can use for the candle holder. Glass or tins are the best. The best glass is a thick glass, so it can’t break from the heat of the wax. Tins with cover are great because the preserve the essential oils and the candle last longer.
