How to Throw an Easter Themed Birthday Party
How to Throw an Easter Themed Birthday Party is the perfect fun themed birthday party.
My daughter was planning my grandson’s first birthday party since it was so close to Easter. She thought throwing an Easter Theme Birthday party would be perfect. Easter doesn’t fall on the same day every year, which gives kids a great opportunity to enjoy a themed Easter birthday celebration.
Bright colors, cute party favors, and kids friendly activity is a fun way to have a wonderful birthday party.

Step 1: Favors
The first things we made were the party favors. It was the most time consuming and we set the mason jars on a table in the foyer of her home. It was the first thing you saw when you walked into the home and it was very festive.
The mason jars were filled with cookies that were bunny tails and everyone got a Peter Rabbit bunny book as well.
Here is the recipe for the Easter Party Favors
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts
- Preheat oven to 375*.
- Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla together.
- Blend in flour & salt.
- Stir in nuts.
- Roll into 1 inch balls.
- Place on cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Remove from the oven.
- Let cool before putting in Mason Jars
Tie a ribbon around each mason jar and add a cute bunny printable label. If you like to do this favor, here is a free printable of bunnies. You can cut out the image and paste on the mason lid.

Step 2: Birthday Cake Station and Dessert Station.
For the Dessert station, we had yellow marshmallow peeps, pastel-colored Easter egg candies and two kinds of cakes. One large cake in the shape of a rabbit for the guests and a special personal size cake for the birthday boy.

Step 3: Buffet Style Food.
Both parents and kids were invited to the birthday party. We had egg salad sandwiches, fruit cups, tortellini salad and other kinds of salad

Step 4: Outdoor Easter Decorations
It’s also easy to create your own personalized decorations by transforming furniture pieces. We had an old vintage desk so to add some creativity to the desk. We bought the desk outside and added flowers, carrots, and baskets. This desk would be a station for all the activities planned. The baskets were for finding eggs that were hidden around the house and the carrots were for the real bunnies that the were going to be feed. we added a pair of stuff mini bummies for decor.

The party tables were simple with a blue and white plaid table cloth with yellow tulips and all-white chairs I rented.

Step 5: Activities
A haystack for pictures was set up for the kids to hold a bunny and have photos taken. For more bunny ideas check this post.

It was so much fun and I Hope you enjoyed the post on how to throw an Easter theme Birthday party.
