How To Make A Simple and Easy Floral Arrangement
I found joy in creating my son’s wedding rehearsal flower arrangements. Creating a pretty arrangement of flowers can be fun and easy. You don’t have to be a floral designer to create centerpieces for your upcoming wedding or rehearsal dinner. I know its an art in arranging flowers and that is why so many of the florist charge plenty to make them. It can be overwhelming doing your own arrangement. Here is a guide on how to making a simple and easy floral arrangement.
Step 1: What Vases To Use
The first thing I research was what type of vases are the easiest to design a floral arrangement. There are so many kinds of vases.
- Cylinder
- Bouquet
- Square
- Bud
ย I found by talking to a few local floral designers the easiest and most effective visually is the 7-inch high cylinder glass vase. It’s the easiest to fill and does not require complicated cutting and designing like the lower vases as the square and oval.
- Place each stem in the vase spreading evenly around the rim starting with the eucalyptus.
- For the next flower use the largest flowers or the highest quality flower. I used a large white mum.
- Next, I added a large stem of daisies that had many flowers on it.
Practice as much as you can ahead of time before making the arrangments for your event. There is no need to get discouraged if you make a mistake or it looks slightly off. Have fun with your flowers and try different ideas. When styling your arrangement get creative and experiment with different looks to make the blooms stand out. I had to make 12 arrangements so I added each bloom in each vase place in a different way. For the greenery, I added different shapes of eucalyptus. For more flower ideas see here.

Hi Julie, I saved so much money making my own flowers arrangments, glad we think alike.
Flowers are so expensive, so it must have been nice to save $$ on the rehersal centerpieces. Good to know that 7″ vases are the easiest to use too.
Thanks so much for visiting, and for organizing this fun challenge.
