5 Simple Blue Decor Ideas To Refresh Your Bedroom
Here are 5 Simple Blue Decor Ideas To Refresh Your Bedroom.
Since this is my first One Room Challenge, I am learning what works and what does not when composing these posts on a weekly basis. Color is the key to giving a room a new look and life. I love blue because it has a peaceful and soothing sense. I really feel its one of the most popular colors for decorating. So whatever blue you like here are 5 brilliant blue ideas for decorating a bedroom.
1. Blue Pillows
Portraying a specific theme throughout the design process is important, so I have been adding a handmade pillow. I choose a Mediterranean design. Here is some similar bedding ideas at Amazon. The simplicity of this bedspread, the color, and the quality of the fabric is perfection. I have been experimenting with lots of color for pillows and a few against the headboard. Blue always won my heart. My daughter’s dog Bizzi looking pretty on the bed.
As you can see I have found some more blue accessories to complete the bedroom. It complemented the oyster shell mirror. I had this one in my attic, which gives the texture I am looking for. Blue chinoiserie vases are always a classic look on a table. I filled them with plants for which created an earthy feel for the room.
3. Bedding
If you want your bed to stand out try blue floral bedding. I kept everything else simple so the bed would standout.
This nature-inspired coral is what I visualized for the wall in front of the bed. I chose these based on the color blue and a coastal theme.
5. Blue Plates
I needed something unique and these blue Mediterranean inspired plates were exactly what I was looking for. they are very easy to hang. I used the command strips for heavier items.

I really like the art work colors. Your shades of blue are gorgeous. I think I like almost all shades of blue. I really like your accessories, too. The patterns on the two mugs and the tray look great together. I really like the plates above the bed. I really need to hang up some plates. I have so many! I really like the texture on the pillow. That shell mirror is really pretty. I usually don’t like shell mirrors, but I like yours. I like the idea of adding some yellow. Can’t wait to see what you come up with. Your room is looking great!
