8 Reasons To Rent a Beach Home in Santa Rosa Beach Florida

Last year I took the family to Santa Rosa Beach and rented an awesome beach home. I had heard it had beautiful clear waters and the crowds were minimal. We rented again in the same community. Watercolor is a planned community nestled along the Santa Rosa Beach. I fell in love with the community. So here is 8 reason  to rent a beach home in Santa Rosa Beach.

1. Traffic  free driving

The roads leading to this part of Florida are traffic free and quite scenic. It took me 6 hours to get to Santa Rosa Beach from coastal South Carolina. Those 6 hours went by quick and very enjoyable. Driving is helpful because you don’t have to rent a car and you can take extra items to make your beach home cozy.

2. Lots of uncrowded beaches

Beaches are the main attraction along the Scenic Highway 30A, which stretches down the Florida Panhandle’s Gulf Coast. The entire week the beaches were easy to get to and I had no problem finding parking or a place to pitch an umbrella on the beach.

3. Lots of activities besides going to the beach

In case you had your share of sand and sun there are many other activities. Relax at the many pools available, take a tennis lesson or maybe you like to walk or bike the many nature trails.

4. Many Styles of Beach Homes To Rent.

There are lots of different styles of beach homes to choose from. If you have a big family a 3 bedroom can accommodate up to 10 people. This year I rented a  3 bedroom home which had a large family room with 2 additional sleeper sofas. Most of the homes come equipped with 3 to 4 bikes and some with a golf cart. That way you will not need to drive your car around. Everything is within a few miles.

5. Cooking and grilling in the comfort of a beautiful beach home.

The last two years each beach home has been equipped with a full kitchen and outdoor grill. By cooking in your rental you can save lots of money. A few times we ate lunch out. We had fun grilling and eating outside on our patio.

6. Snorkeling in Caribbean style waters.

I love snorkeling and I love it when I can see what I am looking at. Santa Rosa beaches have beautiful emerald colored water just like in the Carribean. The waters can be calm at times perfect for paddle boarding.

7. Friendly People

The Florida panhandle is located near Alabama and everyone is super friendly. Everyone goes out of their way to say hello and the local business is even nicer.

8. Excellent Customer Service

When I was searching for a beach rental home there were two companies I was talking to Sanders Rental and 360 rental. Last year I used Sanders rental and they were extremely nice and helpful. This year I tried 360 rental because they had more amenities and activities to choose from. My visit was perfect and even during a busy time they were very accommodating. I had some issues with the internet and appliances and they fix them right away

  1. I’ve vacationed in many parts of Florida over the years. My brother and sister have a beautiful condo in Hillsboro and I’ve been to St Pete but never Santa Rosa. It looks wonderful. Now I’m adding it to my list.

    1. Yes, it’s a great place and one one of the very few places where you can drive with very little traffic. Thanks so much
