Learn How To Mix and Match For Pretty Tablescape Ideas
Here are some fun ideas for Spring. Learn How To Mix And Match For Pretty Tablescape Ideas.
Sometimes it’s nice to mix and match patterns for a unique feel. It’s the best for a spontaneous get together with friends or family. Find unusual patterns that grab your attention and mix it with your favorite colors. This will give you some great place setting ideas. Here I blended my favorite blue and white china with patterns of my colorful napkins. Both represent spring and color. I think diversity is the key! It may take a little thinking and that feeling of what looks good with what. By adding the blue and white. I was able to bring in my shibori pillows into the mix.
When you mix and match for pretty tablescape ideas what are the basic colors to create a beautiful table setting for different patterns.
- Start with a basic color of beige or whites.
- Start adding your favorite pattern, mine is blue and white china.
- Slowly study what another color you feel would go and experiment with different textures too. Sometimes anything will go as long as it is not overdone. Otherwise, it will look too busy.
- I added some simple desserts with very little color such as my sugar four-leaf clover cookies. I did not want anything any icing so it would not take away from the theme.
Flowers are always the tough ones for me to choose. I decided to go with white baby breath and white daisies. I was thinking of adding come colorful roses but it just did not look good. Again color plays a big role. It’s funny how a few simple mixing of textures and patterns can be simple and I think simple create a beautiful table setting.

Your table, dishes and all are so very pretty. Makes me miss not having a table/dining area any more. Your dining room looks really pretty with shutters, wicker chairs, and all your gorgeous dishes.
We have a mfg. single wide home with no dining area at all. wasn’t our first choice at all but all we could afford here in Grand Junction area. Is just 2 of us so figured we could make do .I miss our nice house in KY with good sized dining room.
