How To Create a Rustic Dried Flower Table Setting
Get creative and recycle old flower arrangements and learn how to create a rustic dried flower table setting.
No need to spend more money on decor, when you have the option to use what you already have. Save that money for Black Friday or Christmas. Yesterday I took last year’s Thanksgiving centerpiece and re-purposed them to create mini floral arrangements for the dinner plates for this year’s Thanksgiving table. You can be creative by adding any old foliage centerpiece you may have and recycle it like I have.
Supplies
- Long-stemmed pine leaves
- Berry branch
- Green leaves
- Burlap String
- Pinecones
- Oak branches
- Acorn
Think about your color choices. I selected what I thought would be best with white dinner plates. I chose cranberry and green hues.
For flower arrangements, I simply tied a burlap string around the berry branch, leaf, and pine leaves. Making the pine leaves the focus point. Add one on each plate. I added these cute acorn signs that I used chalk to write the names on each acorn. You can use dried lavender and tie a burlap string around them.
Besides the mini floral place setting, I added in the middle of the table oak branches surrounded by pinecones in a circular design to create a natural centerpiece. I placed green candles for extra color. I added lots of pine cones that I found outside. I cleaned them first a few days before. You can clean by washing them in bleach and later put them in the oven for an hour.
I choose to not use a tablecloth and instead choose woven placemats. It gave it more of a rustic look.
Happy Thanksgiving!
