It’s holiday and I love making my mothers favorite Christmas cookie recipe. Every year she make snowball cookies which was the most memorable cookie she made.
I always felt that it was never the same at my family holidays without her cookie recipe. Thats is why I started making it when I had my own family.

Best Snowball cookie Recipe
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts

How To Make The Snowball Cookie Recipe
1. Mix butter, sugar and vanilla together in a bowl.. After its mixed well. Blend in flour, salt and stir in nuts. Make sure the dough forms a nice consistency to create balls. If its too mushy add more flour
2. Create a ball about two tablespoon of dough add them to a greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Cook for 10 minutes and take out to cool before you coat them with powder. Make sure you don’t over bake them in the oven or they will crack and break apart.
3. Coat the balls with powdered sugar. Use a mini sifter filled with 1 cup of powder sugar. These mini sifters are very handy and perfect for dusting cookies. Don’t over do it with the powder sugar.
As much as I enjoyed my mother recipe, I made it my own by changing a few things. I didn’t add the nuts on the outside like she did.
