TURNING OLD LUGGAGE INTO A WORKS OF ART

suit case table for bedroom

Vintage suitcases are JUST beautiful plain! and simple!  Mixing luggage is in and re-doing  them as a table base or a chest table by a bed or sofa is very cool. Its  a fun project and so easy to do…… If you want to get this look  go shopping and visit all your local thrift stores, yard sales and antique shops. You be surprise how popular these vintage suitcases are.  Collect different colors and different sizes of suitcases to create a table.  You can create many reuses with old suitcases in your home.

Just placing  vintage suitcases anywhere in any room, it’s that simple and creates a conversation piece.

No two suitcases are alike….. I found these two at a thrift sale for $20 for both.

my vintage suitcases

The outdoor has always given me a feeling of joy… I love bringing the inside to the outside.  The outdoor air, water, and other outdoor elements make  me feel refreshed and calm that’s why I spend a great deal of time outdoors making projects there.  So its obvious  that I would bring one of my suitcases and fill them with  herb plants.  :)

Heres how you make this little treasure.

  • Small Suitcase
  • Plastic
  • Garden soil
  • 5 different herb plants
  • Cover the bottom of the suitcase with plastic.
  • Fill the bottom suitcase with garden soil.
  • Add all the herb plants and add remaining soil.
