5 creative ways to upcycle vintage suitcases: Simple Nature Decor

White Painted Suitcases

Marianne Songbird has a beautiful blog filled with amazing creative projects. If you don’t know me I am in love with white minimal decor. I loved how she revamped old suitcases and painted them white which made them perfect for decorating in a simple way.

Brilliant Vintage Map Suitcase

Claire from Pillar Box Blue has beautiful upcycle projects. I love her upcycle suitcase which she has glued map cutouts on the exterior of the suitcase and she lined the interior with maps as well. This suitcase can fit in almost any decor style. It definitely would fit in my home which is the coastal decor.

Epic Stack Of Suitcases

Michele from Crafty Mix is an extremely talented creator. I love how she turned a bureau into a stack of suitcases. Each drawer was unique. She took pieces from different suitcases and attached them to each drawer. When I first looked at this project I thought it was 6 different suitcases. Just amazing how it turned out.

Very Vintage Graduation

Adirondack Girl at heart has the cutest idea using a vintage suitcase. For her daughter’s graduation, she decorated a vintage themed party with vintage items. She filled the suitcase with everything her daughter loves.

Nautical Suitcase

I had a few vintage suitcases laying around. I needed some beachy decor accents for my guest bedroom so I printed some nautical maps and decoupaged the entire suitcase. This was my first attempt decoupaging a suitcase. Honestly, it was a very time-consuming project but I truly loved how it turned out. I love how my nautical suitcase looks like a painting of maps.  For free nautical map click here

A lovely collection of ideas. I do love an old suitcase. Thank you for including my map suitcase, but I have to admit Michelle’s drawers are my favourite.

Awww Maria, thank you for including our chest of drawers in your suitcase round up. I love all the ideas you’ve shared and adding maps does make a suitcase so much more special. It’s kinda like giving the suitcase a voice to show where it’s been and where it may still go.

Maria, all of these projects are incredible!!!! I love how your pillbox suitcase turned out and it’s a cute size to store all kinds of things. Mix’s suitcase dresser is genius!!! I pinned everything. <3

Enjoy your suitcase and I'll be back to read more. <3
