There’s something about tassels that I love. I love added them as a decorative piece for a door knob. I’m super excited to add them to my snuggly blanket. It’s easy to make and since I am obsessed with tassels I can get even more excited with my new styles blanket.
Materials
- Yarn: There are many kinds of yarn, above all make sure its of quality.
- Piece of cardboard: 7 inches by 7 inches
- Blanket or throw: I used small size throw, however you can use a larger one.

Steps
- Take the yarns and wrap it around the cardboard 50 times. I found that the more you wrap the yarn the thicker the tassel. You can use leftover yarn, it’s a good way to recycle, in addition you are saving money.
2. Tie a knot around the top of the tassels. What I did was take a piece of yard and use that to make a knot.
3. I love this part. Take a sharp scissor and cut the tassels on the bottom.
4. Take another piece of yarn, longer than the length of your tassel and tie off the top of the tassel. Tuck the tassel so it blends with everything else. Repeat it again to create two balls.
5. Get those sharp scissors out and cut the bottom of the tassel so it’s all even.
It’s time to sew them to the blankets. I placed each tassel strategically on a specific place on the blanket. Sew them starting from the very top of the tassel to the edge of the blanket
Now that you know how to make tassel, there are so many things you can use them for, above all its easy to make. I can’t stop looking at my sweet blanket now.
