GARDEN DECOR: HANGING WATER GARDEN

Filed Under: home and gardenSeptember 30, 2016

water-garden-1

I am in love with my hanging water garden.

The hanging water garden is a burst of color to add to your garden decor. They are individually crafted from the finest metals and beautiful stained glass. David, the owner, is an amazing person who has created so many unique designs to choose from. The gardens can be added inside your home, but I prefer hanging mine around my outdoor space.

A few weeks ago I had an outdoor party at our community dock and hung it as a conversation piece and everyone loved it. Looking forward to my next outdoor party. I think it would be cool to hang a series of 8 mini water gardens under a gazebo or large oak tree! Pretty!

Sad to say, I have one plant in my house. It is the only one I’ve ever not killed. LOL. It was a gift from my daughter’s kindergarten teacher for volunteering…my daughter is now 18!

I have two plants in our home, one is a peace lily that was given to us when my Dad passed away eight years ago and the other is an orchid that our daughter’s bought me this past Mother’s Day. Our daughter has a mum outside that my mother in law gave her.

I did have several plants in our home, but unfortunately I over watered them, because we were going away and when we returned they died so I haven’t replaced them.

I do the same at times, Thats why I love fresh flowers, they last a few days and don’t have to worry about them being killed off by over watering.

    Good morning, Maria,
Your water hanging garden is beautiful! Yes, I had to go look at what it is called or I would have said one of those hangy outdoor porch thingies. I know, real, adult sounding, huh! LOL.

I would love to see more of how your porch is designed. Up here they are called decks. Porch, deck, whatever. All I know is we need a new one and it’s going to cost quite a bit. I was looking at the photo shot upwards towards the raw wood planks and saw gray/blue peeking through hinting that you may have a second deck above. I know that is a common design in the Carolinas. More specifically, I saw that design on Kure Beach and in Charleston. I would like to mimic the style of the upper and lower balcony type patios I saw there. What are those called back east?

I used to live in Myrtle Beach for almost half of each year. I recognized the landscape in your photos.

Hope you have a great week!

Thanks for having this giveaway for the gorgeous hanging water garden. Currently, I have no plants in my house. I have a very colorful garden outside the bay window though. My cat tries to eat every live plant or flower inside. I have a couple of silk plants for color, but it’s just not the same.
