6 Easy Healthy Snacks and Activities To Help Lose Weight
Like most working adults I struggle to find balance with work, family, and play. Staying active and watching what I eat, is important to keep me energized and balanced in all aspects of my life. I am not always perfect, but I always try to go back to what works for me by eating healthy most of the time, but letting myself indulge once or twice a week!
Several years ago I had joined the Weight Watchers program. The purpose wasn’t to lose weight but to maintain healthy eating habits. I have several friends who look marvelous and this program is their secret weapon. (I should mention that everyone has programs and routines that work for them, so this one may not be the best for you!) After a year on the program, I felt amazing! I loved that there were tons of recipes and delicious snacks that were keeping me satisfied & happy.
Fitness is also important to my well-being. My husband, kids and I are super active! We joke that we don’t really go on vacation to relax since we are always making time to work out or do active activities.
I am blessed that I live in a beautiful area in South Carolina. There are so many options to keep me fit- walking, biking, tennis, paddleboarding, and kayaking. My favorite activities tend to be yoga and walking. So two days during the week, I walk to my favorite place and practice yoga. I carry a little cooler with water, my favorite healthy snacks, and fresh fruit.
1.Weight Watchers Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss snacks. It’s the perfect combination of peanut butter and chocolate, plus they are only 90 calories. It gives me the energy I need to walk back home.
2. You don’t have to do heavy workouts to lose weight. These basic yoga moves like stretching on a ledge can help you keep limber and loose.
4. I tend to lose lots of salt when I sweat. Another great snack idea is the salted caramel brownie bliss. I keep plenty stashed in my cooler after I good workout. They are heavenly!
5. Find a space to sit on a yoga mat and stretch out to try to touch your toes, repeat on the other leg.
6. Walking is a good way to stay in shape without having to worry about the gym. Set your goals to 1/2 a mile a day and build up to several miles.
So next time you feel the need to eat something healthy without the guilt, give the Weight Watchers healthy snacks a try. I know you will love them as much as I do weekly. To keep my pantry stocked.
