$100 ROOM CHALLENGE: Big Reveal

Finally the day has come! I have been stressing about this for weeks. I think because many of the items did not  come until the last-minute. The bedroom is designed  in a coastal style hopefully to wow guests and make my son happy. I dressed up the bed with the indigo blue pillows and a turquoise dyed bed topper. I created the pillows with a technique called Shibori.(will post on that another day) I added some glass vases for the table and placed a few saw palmetto leaves in them. My hand-made oyster shell is the perfect coastal accessory and free. To add some more coastal and blue accents to the wall I found some framed prints at HomeGoods. The braided rug is from Potter Barn. The ceramic stool which is used for a side table is from Overstock. I love my bench, but I found it at Marshalls at a steal last year. The little sail boat and boat oak were repainted white to match with the rest of the room. As challenging as you make think to decorate a space for $100, it actually proved to be rather fun and easy. You learn to use what you have around the house and spend the $100 on accessories.

I would like to thank Erin from Lemons, Lavender and Laundry  for organizing such a fun challenge. If this is your first time to my blog or challenge here is week /1/2/3/. As for the Shibori pillow cover DIY, will be posting that another day. Stop by below to see  the other gals REVEALS. Will you be re-freshing a room anytime soon?
