Video Tour: Charming Village of Habersham, South Carolina

CHARMING LOW-COUNTRY VILLAGE

Last week I was in Haberhsam, South Carolina. It’s a little village outside of Beaufort, South Carolina. We were filming my first series of  charming towns. This is my second video and I am in the learning stages. My husband who was  taking orders from me. I was telling him to hold the camera  vertically for some of the scenes. 🙂  When I was editing in movie maker  I realized that’s a no-no in video. I was able to salvage the video and use the horizontal scenes. The video didn’t quite turn out the way I wanted, but I’m learning. Hope you enjoy it any way!

I also photographed  some of the town and plus my favorite houses. This community was created by a developer to represent a small town feel. It’s a coastal town with all its charm, friendliness and elegant architecture and my favorite part is its natural beauty. It has a market place with quaint shops and eateries. This place may be my next and final home in a few years. Check out some of the architecture in the homes. I am totally in love with the coastal vibe. The shutters are a big feature in many house designs. It reminds me of Key West or the  Caribbean.

ADD THIS TO YOUR BUCKET LIST TRAVELS!

If you happen to be in the Low Country, stop by Habersham. It’s about 11 miles from the town of Beaufort which is another charming town. You may have to plug it in your GPS because it is a little out-of-the-way and not easy to find. My next video series will be on  Charleston South Carolina.  I am heading to this amazing city in a few weeks. If you know any charming towns you have been to love to hear about them. For more info on Habersham.

  1. I believe we whizzed through Beaufort too quickly to appreciate it. Hubby and I couldn’t figure out why people found it so charming. Note to self: Take more than an hour to go through a town and make sure you find out a little about it before driving there. Habersham is a must plus going through Beaufort again. 🙂

    1. Thanks for visiting me. Glad you like the video, beaufort is an amazing place! My husband and I are going to try to purchase a lot we saw there, it was a real buy.

  4. What a charming place! I love SC! Those homes are gorgeous.Glad you told us not to hold the camera vertically when you’re doing a video. I didn’t know that. I haven’t ventured into video yet, but it’s good to know.

  5. Love your travel series! You’ll love Charleston, SC when you go. I was there in 1989 for the second wedding of my Aunt Eleanor who lives on Hilton Head. Her first husband had passed away and she and her then hubby-to-be held a lovely wedding there in the city! It was 6 weeks after Hurricane Hugo. Amazingly, many of the old buildings stood up to that nasty windstorm because they were built well and of brick.

    Enjoy your upcoming trip!

Seeing your pictures of Haberhsam and the moss on the trees and palm trees remind me so much of Charleston.
