HOLIDAY IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR HOME MERRY

For holidays at my house, I like to keep it simple and cozy. Every space in my home is decorated in a simplistic way basically to keep my calm and to create a cozy, merry vibe. For my outdoor space, I decorated the dining table with leftover pumpkins from the fall. I painted the pumpkins white and added some fresh pine and magnolia cuttings from the trees in my back yard. I also created a smaller centerpiece using a fun chalkboard,  pumpkins, pine, and magnolia clippings.

LIVING ROOM/DINING ROOM

Next came my living space. My Christmas tree has lots of lights paired with simple silver ornaments. To keep the nature theme going, I designed a coastal garland for the dining table, made from pine clippings, oyster shells and a large coral.

KITCHEN

The chalkboard is so perfect for entertaining and customized decorating, that I had to add one in the kitchen as well. I love small Christmas trees and found this one at Micheals during an amazing clearance holiday sale. I love bargains!

BEDROOM

Decorating your home for the holidays doesn’t have to be limited to just the main living spaces and hallways. I love it when my family wakes up to a holiday atmosphere. To create a festive yet simple merry theme for each bedroom, I scattered holiday ornaments to match each color theme the room was already designed with.

It’s great that you found a way to transition them into Christmas. They look so nice painted. I always hate to see them discarded by the roadside & have been tempted to stop & pick up a few!

    1. Go ahead and pick some, there are so many ideas to make with them! You can spray them with bug spray just in case, but the winter the bugs are gone.
