LAKE COMO:FAMILY TRIP
Amidst moving into a new home I can’t believe in 2 weeks I will be traveling to Lake Como region in Italy. My entire family and I have been planning this trip for the last year. It had not been easy because we all have to agree on where to stay and everyone has a job in picking out places to eat. So here is a sneak preview on the first few days.
My husband and I will be staying alone for two nights at a hotel called the Palace Hotel, it was priced right in spite of the name and the reviews on Trip Advisors were great. These two nights will give us a chance to explore on our own before the crowds arrive. 🙂
Como city is one the many cities in the Lake Como region of Italy. Its suppose to be a big manufacturer of silks and the food polenta is popular there. So I should be able to find some pretty silk scarfs at bargains prices and maybe get a polenta recipe… We are having some bikes delivered and will explore on the bike around the city. I heard roads are hilly so it should be interesting. All the cities are surrounded by lakes and the way you get around to visit other cities is primary with the ferry.
We will be meeting our children in Bellagio, Italy on June 12. My daughter planned that part of the trip so it should be fun! Should have lots to post about. Ciao! Bellas!

Looks gorgeous there! I’m thinking the scarves won’t necessarily be ‘bargain’ priced considering it’s a tourist destination, but hopefully you have good luck!
There suppose to be a guy who makes scarfs from scraps of Chanel and other designers, will have to research where he is located in Lake Como region, hope its affordable. Maria

Oh my gosh – we used to travel to COMO on business – and always stayed at the PALACE Hotel – You’ll love it there – it faces the lake itself – and though the rooms aren’t huge – the ceilings are which make them feel very luxuriant – oh you’re going to love this vacation !!!
