Keep a Healthy 2018 With Some Wellness Wisdom

Will Power Is the Key!
Winter is always a tricky one for me to keep me and my family healthy! Since I was a little girl my mother and father always instill a healthy way of eating. Lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. This has carried over for me with my family.
I have will power to keep healthy and I truly feel that is one key to keeping you body well. Everyone has different levels of it and once the holiday season approaches it tends to disappear for most. So I find that as long as I keep a fresh bowl of fruit in the refrigerator and keep reminding my family that its there. I have done my job to keep instilling encouraging good eating habits. Some of my family members get encouragement from it and some don’t but I at least I have planted the seed.
To move forward in 2018 here are some of my wellness wisdom tips.
- I never fail to drink a glass of water each morning with my vitamins. (There are times I just don’t feel like it but the will power pretty much helps me to it.)If I have any medicines to take I usually take those with food if the directions call for that.
- Every morning or at least 4 days a week. I go for a long nature walk. It always clears my mind and gives me insight. I also take my furry friend Luigi with me. It keeps him healthy too.
- Have a healthy breakfast. I try to eat either a bowl of fruit, yogurt or something that will provide some energy to keep this 50 and something body going.
- Lunch & dinner always consist of vegetables & protein.
- Keep your life organized by keeping important health savings programs at your finger tips.
Gear up your game with prevention!
As we live our lives unexpected things can slow us down, especially during the cold weather. My biggest dread is the flu.I do believe in the flu shot. It has kept me healthy. There have been cases where I have had a sore throat and find that the typical orders of drinking plenty of liquids and resting in bed is the key. I can vouch to this since my husband who is a healthcare provider says this is the best advice.

I like the sound of this card Maria, and totally agree with all your health care tips! Does the card work in conjunction with insurance, or does it work mainly with over the counter meds, or does it give discounts even with insurance coverage? I think I’ll look into it. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks for reading about the ScriptSave WellRx prescription savings program, Florence (and thanks for asking such great questions).
There are no restrictions on who can use ScriptSave WellRx, regardless of current insurance status. We encourage all patients to price-shop before filling their prescriptions and it surprises many to discover just how often an insurance copay is NOT the most affordable option.
We try to make it as easy as possible for patients to price-check the rates that we have negotiated at ScriptSave WellRx … we have a fast, easy, free tool on our website (accessible directly at the link below) and we also have a great mobile app for both Apple and Android. You’ll find pretty-much ever prescription drug you can think of in our price-check tool (although, obviously, some have far deeper discounts than others, just based on negotiating power).
If you find that our rates for a particular medication are more favorable than the out-of-pocket cost with your insurance, then you’re free to choose ScriptSave WellRx rather than your covered benefit (although we do need to stress that ScriptSave WellRx is NOT insurance, and so we will not communicate any info back to your insurance company).
You can price-check at the special link below (prescriptions only, not over-the-counter), as well as getting a free membership to the program. We’ve also shared a link that goes into a little more detail about using ScriptSave WellRx when you have insurance.

The special link that Maria shared will give you a free membership to our program, as well as letting you price-check any meds at the local pharmacies in your zip code. We won’t always be cheaper than an insurance copay (…that really depends on how good the insurance is), but we are free to all patients, so there’s literally no harm in checking us out before every refill.
