How To Make DIY Moss Balls for Natural Decor

  1. To get started, first gather all the materials you’ll need. Grab some foam balls of any size you like. Then, take your glue gun and plug it in to let it heat up. Once it’s hot, carefully squeeze the trigger to spread the glue evenly around the surface of one foam ball. Make sure you cover as much of the ball as possible with the glue so the moss will stick well.
  2. Next, take some moss and start wrapping it gently around the foam ball. Press the moss lightly onto the glued areas so it sticks firmly. Don’t worry if the moss doesn’t cover the ball perfectly at first. You can always add more glue to any spots where the moss isn’t sticking, and keep adding little pieces of moss until the whole ball is covered and looks nicely rounded.
  3. If you notice any bits of moss sticking out or looking uneven, just take a pair of scissors and carefully trim them. Keep adjusting and adding moss until you’re happy with how smooth and neat the ball looks. Repeat these steps for any other foam balls you want to cover with moss.
