Lately, I have been obsessed with reinventing my hundreds of old books into something out of Restoration Hardware catalog. I admit that catalog is my place of inspiration to give these books a new look.
I started with my favorite linen fabric. I measured the book onto the fabric and hot glued the fabric to the book. After scorching my fingers several times, I realized I really need that manicure. The next beauty tip for these books is a fresh coat of white paint over the linen fabric to give them old world charm.
Next, I was off to get my box of paperback so I can tear the front and back cover off. (I must admit there is something cathartic about this process.) Next, bound all the books with hemp string.
These new beauties can be added in groups on your coffee table, end table or shelves. You be the judge!
