How To Make A Little Cottage Smile For The Holidays

Lets start with the windows!

Just recently moved into a cute little cottage. I am building my home and this charming place will be home for one year. It needs some tender loving care and a few holiday accents to spruce it up. So I was excited to collaborate with Wayfair on this Christmas Window campaign. They have some amazing holiday decorations perfect to make this little old cottage smile.

The front porch has lots of windows so I thought it be fun to do a beachy holiday wreath with light natural tones and touches of blue. So I found a garland with a beach theme. So the plan is to turn it into a wreath for the front door.

SUPPLIES

  1. Seashore & Starfish Garland

2. Mini Turquoise Ornaments (Shatterproof)

Tips: Make sure you use shatterproof ornaments when you are attaching them to the garland.

Step 1: Take the garland and create a wreath by tieing the two ends with a floral wire.

Make sure when you tie the two ends that you shape into a perfect circle.

Step 2: Attach the turquoise shatterproof ornaments with floral wire

With the left over ornaments I filled up a large basket to add more color to the front porch

Step 3: Hang the wreath

Alcott Hill Wreath

Since I loved the way the wreath turned out on the front door. I decided to hang the other wreath from Wayfair inside the home. This one has pine-cones which I am obsessed with. Its a perfect size of 24 inches.

Features

  • Frosted twigs and pinecones
  • White pinecones
  • Winter leaves and twigs make up this rustic look wreath

I have plantation shutters everywhere inside. For an outdoor feel inside I added the wreath in the middle section of the plantation shutter hanging over my recently refurbished TV stand I made into buffet cabinet for the holidays! It displays all my holiday finds! Hope you have fun decorating for the holidays and these ideas help!

Whether you are adding a beachy  or rustic theme for your Wreaths. Wayfair  has a beautiful selection of holiday decor. There Garland and Swags are perfect for hanging over the fireplace.
