AS THE STORAGE REFRESH TURNS

I don’t know about you, but its hard to spend money on a storage closet that going to get messed up eventually… so I thought this would be the perfect project for the $100 room challenge is to transform my ugly storage into a pretty one. I have lots of stuff in my attic so I can certainly find things to create a pretty storage closet. Stay in touch for the next 4 weeks to see how the storage refresh turns.

Step 1:
Take everything out and paint walls. I saved all my paint from what was left over when they painted the room a few years back. So I had a gallon of Sherman William Ibis white for the walls.

Step 2:
I taped all the trim and covered the concrete floors with this packaging paper. Thats the hardest to do, since its time-consuming. When you paint any room you paint all the edges with a paint brush. Then you use a paint roller and the paint the wall to blend with the edges.

Step 3:
After a few hours the fun stuff is removing all the tape and paper. Viola clean white walls. I love it.

Even storage closet should be pretty!
After roaming in my attic I found 2 large wicker bins, a bunch of smaller baskets . I finally have a for my pretty smelling candle (courtesy of Earth Wax and Fire. There candles smell so good and last a long time. It comes with a pretty hand crafted ceramic plate with sea glass pieces. The experts say that the glass pieces are over 800 years old. The candles come as a monthly subscription. Each month, they select an artisanal candle and a matching ceramic bowl. It’s a great gift for any one. I am thinking of giving a 2 month subscription to my sister for her birthday.

I wan to thank Erin From Lemons, Lavender and Laundry for organizing this Challenge! This is a 4 week challenge and see how the storage progresses next week

Lovin’ those fresh, white walls. I’m jealous that you’ve already started working on your space. Can’t wait to see that gorgeous, organized space in a few weeks 🙂
Erin, this space was super easy to do and looking forward to the reveal and everyone elses

That’s one of my favorite parts of painting a room – removing all the tape. So satisfying! I can’t wait to see what you do with this space!
Thanks Meredith, its a small space so it should be easy.

I’m always lighting candles all over the house, they are perfect for giving just the right ambiance.
I know the prep is a lot of work but it looks so clean and fresh. Do you find you are going in to admire the room after you work so hard on it? That is what I tend to do. It looks great. Pinned.
Yes, I end of up admiring the room over and over lol.

What a great idea to makeover a storage closet. It always feels great when things are neat and tidy. Even if they get messed up. Looking forward to seeing what you end up doing.
Thanks so much, its a small room and those are the hardest to create a wow factor.
Wow, what a transformation. Such a difference. I can think of a few rooms in my home that need a bit of organizing and makeover. Great tips.
