Welcome to my nature house progress. The house is slowly but surely coming along. I wanted to show you some of the nature scenes in the area as well as the progress of the construction. The construction crew is putting up the shingles on the front and back of the home. Part of the house is shingled and wood plank. Its gives the home a cottage look and feel.
In the back of the home you will see a wide range of trees, plants and a horse farm. The gardens in the back will have indigenous plants, the community only allows plants that are native to the area. A true nature community. No plants from other states.
There are lots of saw palmettos around the home. We made sure that the land crew was careful not to clear away these plants. We don’t have to buy much because there are many plants that have been carefully preserved. Great for the budget.
I came up with the name nature house because of the peaceful environment. The lot is located in a quiet area and I love nature. Normally building can be stressful, but this has been a wonderful experience and I feel right at “HOME”
Below is a color scheme I choose for the house. Outside painting will be the next step then the trim and doors inside the home. Will keep you posted.
