Ready or not I am in my home! These photos were taken two weeks ago and today they finally finished the painting of the outside. It has been CHAOTIC!
Here lies the foundation of the outdoor kitchen, its 3/4 done and you will see it eventually, they are shooting for a few weeks. It has brick surround and the outdoor kitchen is all brick and the grill lies on the brick counter. Its near completion but the contractor ran into some problems. Hopefully the next time I update it will be done!
I love fire pits. Here is the outline of the pit. Not very pretty, but its amazing that all you do is dig a circular hole fill it with cement and place the bricks in a circular design. I don’t want to spoil the surprise so you will see in a few weeks.
Color is very important to me and I wanted an open and clean feel in all my rooms so I went with light colors in all the bathrooms. Yep the mirrors are missing! but a few days ago they appeared. I just love how unpredictable these sub contractors are.
Here is what you see when you walk into my master bath. Still pretty unfinished, right? but I promise it will be done soon, that’s what they are telling me. The faucet was defective so we had to get order a new one. Isn’t building so much fun?
Here is a guy deep in thought…My hubby trying to figure out which light goes where! I truly love the layout of this bathroom. Initially it was a smaller bathroom, so we made it bigger by making the huge walk in closet smaller. It has a double sinks in the vanity and we added another cool tub for that wow factor. Great for guests.
Just FYI will be working on my punch list with the builder and some of the items from this post have been done. I am hoping by the time I post again on my Nature House it will be completely done. Thanks for letting me share this update with you. xo Maria
“Walk with Nature”
Cant wait to see it in person!
Hope its ready!
Wow… everything is coming along and looking great!
You must be so happy with the progress. I can’t wait for the outdoor kitchen!
Please keep us posted. 🙂
I love doing DIY, but when you have to work a normal job and oversee a house build like this it cuts into my blogging and you have to put the blogging on hold, which is hard for me because its my outlet! Thats been the hardest! I do love this house, but it has not been easy toward the end. Its almost done!
Thanks
Maria
This is like a dream. So beautiful!
Yes the dream sometimes seem a bit of a nightmare when things are not going well, but at the end it works out for the best.
Thanks
Maria
Even undone, it’s beautiful.
Funny! Thanks for the encouragement, the painting part has been a problem at first because the painters quit and I don’t know why, but they were able to get new painters who are very nice and seem to care! Nothing like waking up at 7pm and seeing painters outside the window.. lol
Looks fantastic love the bath tub. You must be very excited!

What a beautiful achievement! I have lived through almost the same experience and marvel that we survived the chaos – and thrived! So many decisions, and such a roller coaster ride. But with you and your husband at the helm, you are building a new home that you will love for many years. Congratulations and enjoy!
Thanks for such a lovely comment, its a pleasure to have blogging friends like you! Hugs
Maria
Thanks so much for such a lovely comment! Things are getting closer to becoming more of a home and not a construction site….hugs maria
