DREAMY OYSTER SHELL CHANDELIER IDEAS
I must admit that I am partial to oysters shells. Each so very unique. Living by the beautiful May River where they are lots of oyster reefs, there are so many project possibilities. I am in love with these chandeliers. Take a look and get inspired. Southern Soulmates has a fabulous chandelier DIY that is very easy to make. All you need is a 5 gallon bucket fill with oyster shells to start you out.
Add Them In Any Room
Flea Market Trixie uses a vintage metal lamp removing the shade and cleverly stringing 120 shells creating an amazing hanging chandelier.
You can also use a drill to create a hole in the oyster shell so you can hang it with hooks on the lighting fixture. You can purchase the hooks at most fabric stores where they sell curtain hooks.
Design Your Own
My friend Janet’s sister designs these gorgeous oyster shell chandeliers in Savannah Georgia which is about a 20 minute drive for me. The first photo in my post is the chandelier that was created by her. So when I saw this post of Sand and Sisal trip to Savannah Georgia. I noticed one of Kim’s stops was in shop that had an exact oyster shell chandelier. I wonder if it’s from the same designer.
I love Chartreuse just discovered this cool blog which has everything I love. A dreamy european style with french inspired decor and a my fav! a fabulous oyster shell chandelier.
