I’m so excited to share one of my favorites parts of the house which is the lights. I don’t know if you remember in one of my earlier posts I added reclaimed wood here and there and wanted lights that would go with that texture. So I found these glass hanging lights from pottery barn. I usually take forever to pick lights but these kitchen lights were a quick pick because it was the perfect look I wanted. I went with something simple in the kitchen area. I did not want to take away from the cabinets and island.
Speaking of simple! For the dining room chandelier this pick was not simple. I knew this dining room area needed something special to accent a large table, so I was searching for that perfect “wow factor” fixture and I found this one at pottery barn as well. Nick my son he loves the chandelier too!
So, my next step is to find something different to go with the reclaimed white washed ceiling in my master bedroom and I have to confess it took weeks to find this one. After looking in countless lighting website…. I found this one at pottery barn too! This chandelier has droplets of wood in shape of crystals and a balls of rope hung around the chandelier. I fell in love with the design and as soon as I saw the wooden droplets I knew this was the prefect chandelier for the white washed ceiling. It gives an old European vibe to the room.
Check out this painting that I picked up in a thrift store over 20 years, it’s a Russian Icon for $300. I never had it appraised but people say it could be valuable, I had it stored in the attic for years and now with this chandelier I thought it be prefect to bring it out ! Enjoy! and Have a great weekend!
