I am super excited to join in again for another Christmas Home Tour. This year I decided to do a coastal theme filled with projects I made with oyster shells. I love taking long walks with my dog to the coastal marshes. Its one of the most beautiful place I know and I get to take a piece of it to my home.
Every shell, driftwood, and pinecone I find always has an intent and purpose. The projects speak for themselves and remind me of the places I find these beautiful elements of nature.
The oyster shell mirror was a project I did when I lived in beautiful Palmetto Bluff. It brings me lots of fond memories of that place I lived before I moved. Its the place that got me started to blog.
This cottage that we are renting is very small. I was limited to what I could decorate. I focused on the living room by using the fireplace as the central area to decorate for the holidays. This is my last month here in this charming cottage and next month we will be in our forever home.
I love you, Oyster Shell.
I do love oysters. The funny thing is I can’t eat them because I break out in hives. Which is a bummer. They are good for you and supposedly make you sexy. Since I can’t eat them I use them for lots of projects and that makes me happy. This holiday season I created lots of oyster shells ornament for my tree. It was such a big hit that I had several people contact me to make some for them. It got me thinking that maybe I’ll add them to my store I am creating. Something has been missing in my blog and I have decided to start a store for 2019. If you want to learn how to make these pretty treasure check out how to make oyster shell ornament here.
Now get settled in, grab some popcorn and a drink you are in for some major inspiration. I want to thank everyone that was connected to this beautiful home tour.
