ONE ROOM CHALLENGE: WEEK 5

one room challenge week 5

We are in week 5 of the one room challenge and still so much to do! I can’t believe I have to get this room done in one week. I sort of figured out what I am going to do for wall art. It’s a surprise and will reveal that the last week. This week, we will be focusing on flowers for the side tables.

My dresser (prize find) has been the best change of this whole process! I added some yellow flowers in  blue and white vases, and set on top of the dresser. It really added a colorful, Mediterranean feel to the whole ambiance of the room.

I was confused a little about which vases to add the flowers, so the first thing I did was add the flowers to every vase, knowing that I may have to eliminate one. It ended being the prefect balance of color that the room needed.

As I mentioned, I am still figuring out which artwork to use on the wall across from the bed. I currently have them all displayed and set aside by the empty wall trying to decide. I wanted to add the corals all of the same color, but then I found some pretty coastal prints on sale at HomeGoods.

The coral artwork I found at a cute little shop in Charleston, SC. I love the color, but not sure if it’s too light. I was also thinking of using the darker blue coral made by yours truly with a stencil. It sometime gets so overwhelming trying to decide, which means it may be time to mull it over a nice walk.

So you will have to wait until next week to see the big reveal! Which artwork to you think I should use?
